Hello & Welcome,

On behalf of Traditional Taekwon-Doist world wide I would like to welcome you to the first edition of the World Taekwon-Do Alliance’s Martial Blog.  It is the desire of this communication to bring to light many of the diverse topics that Traditional Taekwon-Do has to offer. As with a prism there are many sides, colors and views.  To this extent we will explore Taekwon-Do as a science, an art, a sport, a social network and the world’s most popular form of self-defense.  We will approach each topic with the most accuracy and true accounting as possible.  But don’t’ be mistaken, we will take some liberties in expressing our opinions and beliefs along the way as all editorials do.

Through this colorful lighting we hope to bring greater understanding and ultimately a strong sense of unity among a splintered community.

As a student of the art for over forty years, I have always been fascinated with the pure magic that Taekwon-Do offers.  From the amazing amount of human energy and skill that can be developed to the intrinsic re-building of ones confidence and personal self-enrichment of one’s own world.  Because there are so many facets, it was necessary to assemble an entire team of respected Masters, Historians, Producers and Journalist to help create this blog and make it a concise and enjoyable read.

In closing, it is my intention to bring light to those that deserve our acknowledgements, bring motivation and education to those that seek it, to unite those that would share in our efforts to promote and preserve Traditional Taekwon-Do, and to share a successful vision for the future of this wonderful art.  Please enjoy and let your fellow Taekwon-Do brothers and sisters know about it.

Respectfully,

Grand Master Scott McNeely
